Update on Safety Precautions for COVID-19
At Just For Kids in Chicago, our child care center has been opened throughout the coronavirus pandemic, providing essential childcare services to our community.
Currently, we are enrolling children aged 3–14 in our child care programs. Learn more about the safety and sanitization processes we’ve put in place to ensure our staff and your children are protected.

COVID-19 Safety Precautions
In order to properly ensure the safety of all our staff members and any children who come to our child care center, we have created a long list of procedures and safety rules in compliance with the CDC that we are following.
Face Masks
All children and staff members are required to wear a face mask while they are at our facility. In order to ensure that children are properly protected, we are supplying every child with their own face mask that will stay at the center. Each night, we will sanitize the masks and safely store them in individual paper bags.
While everyone will be wearing masks, we also require everyone to maintain a social of 6-feet at all times.
Temperature Checks
Staff and children will have their temperature checked before coming into the child care facility. If someone has a temperature, they are required to stay home until they are symptom-free. If a child starts showing symptoms or spikes a fever while at our center, we will place them in an isolation room until they can be picked up.
Hand Washing
We will require that staff and children wash hands frequently, using soap and water and for at least 20 seconds. We also have hand sanitizer located throughout the center for staff and children to use whenever they need it.
Sanitization
Every day, we will sanitize all surfaces using a special viricide cleaner. Throughout the day, we also wipe down surfaces that are frequently touched and used. When children spend time on the playground outside, we will send them out in groups and leave time between groups.
Each week, we also sanitize the air to ensure that our child care center stays clean and safe for your children.

Our director is monitoring any outbreaks and working with our local health department to track and possible cases of coronavirus, in addition to monitoring any children or staff that are absent.
